On this 12-day tour, you will be transported back in time at the spice trading port of Cochin, with its melting pot of cultural influences, lulled by the serene beauty of Kerala's backwaters and nature walk in the jungles of Periyar. Munnar will introduce you to a century-old culture, the fragrant tea plantations and hill forests are sure to enchant you as you discover the Spice of Kerala. 

Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive Cochin

On arrival at the airport meet your Tour Guide who will assist you with the transfer to the hotel. Stay two nights in Cochin. 

Day 2
Cochin

Cochin's sightseeing includes Cochin Harbour terminus where the Chinese fishing nets present a wonderful sight; Mattancherry Dutch Palace; the Jewish Synagogue and St. Francis Church (built in 1510 and where Vasco Da Gama was originally buried). Also visit the Hill Palace which was built in the 19th century. Later you will be collected for a Kathakali Dance Show.


Day 3
Cochin - Munnar

Enjoy a beautiful drive to Munnar, famous for its scenic beauty, marvelous waterfalls and high mountains. The remainder of the day is free for your own activities. 
Stay two nights at Munnar. 

Day 4
Munnar

Explore a town that is difficult to describe and witness tea gardens spread like a green carpet over hundreds of kilometers. Munnar has lush green hills with a sparse population. 

Day 5
Munnar - Thekkady

Travel to Thekkady, known for the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. In the afternoon, take a walk, explore this spice town, and stay two nights at Thekkady.

Day 6
Thekkady

Enjoy a boat ride on the lake to spot wildlife, and later visit a spice plantation farm growing cardamom, pepper, coffee, and tea. On your way back you could stop at the local market and purchase their fragrant spices. 

Day 7
Backwaters Cruise

Transfer for embarkation on your private houseboat at Alleppey and cruise through the beautiful backwaters of Kerala. Witness the lifestyle of the locals and travel the vast network of lagoons lakes, rivers and canals. Enjoy onboard meals and stay overnight on the houseboat. 

Day 8
Alleppey - Kollam

Disembark after breakfast and travel to Kollam, the center of the country's cashew trading and processing industry. Take an afternoon walk in this beautiful small town. Stay two nights at Kollam.

Day 9
Kollam

Interact with the locals and experience their day-to-day life or relax at the resort offering options for various Ayurvedic treatments.

Day 10
Kollam - Kovalam

Travel to Kovalam, a beautiful fishing and beach town in Kerala. The day is free to relax and stay two nights in Kovalam.

Day 11
Kovalam

Have a leisurely breakfast, enjoy an Ayurveda massage and relax at the beach.

Day 12
Trivandrum Departure

After breakfast tour finishes with transfers to Trivandrum airport.
